i sent my receiver off to nef & i received it back yesterday & I have noticed that when the barrel is open there is a good bit of play where the forearm and the receiver meet.I e-mailed nef about this and they said its normal but i have looked at my two other nef's and they are not anything like this they are good & snug in the open position.Anyone know what i might have going on here? Thanks

That is normal, it depends on how tight the forearm is on that barrel. If you want it tight when it is open then shim the forearm a little and it will fix the "problem". Larry

As long as it's tight when closed, that's all that really matters. If it's a synthetic forend, about the only way to tighten it up is a new forend, a wood forend can be shimmed between the spacer and forend.
