How much are big bore FA model 83s going for

Please assume one wants a larger bore pistol of extreme quality..
would want to consider the 475 range of ammunition (480 etc. ) cause I am a 45 70 reloader and brass hoarder.
With a budget of two to three thousand dollars for the gun and dies :
what would you get;
New or Used, is ok ... custom and semi custom reccomendations  are acceptable .. just available fairly readily. Want about a six inch Bbl or shorter..
I want to see what you guys think...are the comparisons going to be new FA  to used linebaughs or bowens or something I have wanted a bowen or linebaugh genre weapon for ever... and wonder if you guys feel the FA would be the way to go and with what on it sight wise etc. and the expected costs for it/
why you chose it would be intersting too.

Well I would say the gun I just got is my ultimate big bore. It is a Freedom Arms 83 Premier grade in 475 Linebaugh with a 6"octagon barrel. I got express sights with the gold bead front sight and black Micarta grips. The Octagon barrel is a $468 option but it sure makes the gun look great!

did you pick that as a package ? I would love the octagon barrell .. do you assemble the gun from the options, is that it and then find out how much it would be, etc. ?  the express sights are for speed, correct ?  what was the wait time and where did you get a good price ? did you shop around ?

I actually found a guy that had the exact gun I wanted that had never been fired and bought it from him. There is a guy that sells a lot of Freedom Arms pistols on gunbroker.com that I was going to order a pistol exactly like this from before I found this one. You can just email him and tell him all the options you want and he will email you back with a quote on what the price will be. His prices seemed better than most. His name is Scott and he usually has several FA guns listed on GB. I would pay the extra for the octagon barrel if you can afford it. It really makes the gun look special in my opinion. I just like the looks of the express sights and I have them on my 44 Redhawk so I wanted them on my 475.  If you can't find the dealer I am talking about let me know..
