Next sonar?
« on: May 19, 2006, 07:53:31 AM »
Call it sonar, fish finder, depth sounder, whatever.  If you were going to buy another one for fishing would it be color, 3-D or stick with gray scale?

How about a vote?

Since no one seemed to be interested in this post or reply I thought I'd let you know that I am buying a Humminbird 343C.

Hope you like you Hummingbird.  In twenty years I've had four HB finders, still have one but....every one I've owned or used have fogged in an early morning dew, never mind rain!  Sent two back, twice each, and they continued to fog anyway.   Just gave up and sold the first three, but keep my present (expensive)  model 3ID (the first generation 3D model)  and live with the fog.

Never had any fog troubles with any Lowrance/Eagle tho.

I still have an older HB 4-ID that has always worked fine, but I realize that the Lowrance sonars are great. I also have one on my boat and the HB will just be used from the bow when running the electric.
