American Pioneer Powder
« on: June 21, 2007, 07:24:02 AM »
Does anyone have any experiences or info on using this stuff in cannons? I am having
a hard time locating any BP in my area for some reason and this stuff says it is a direct
substitute for BP.

Thanks Mike

You can mail order BP from http://www.powderinc.com . They will accept orders in as small as 5#  increments. The prices listed on their web site include shipping and hazmat fees. Best prices are for 25# boxes, but even at 5# the prices are not all that bad.

Thanks Rick, i went all over my area this morning stopping at gun shops and
could not find any BP. Just seemed strange not to find any because i'm in more
of a rural area with alot of shooters, must be not many folks are shooting
black powder anymore.

Oh well,
            Thanks Again

Part of it may be the special paperwork needed to deal in it. The substitutes are "smokless powder" by definition and are bascially the same as standard metalic cartridge powder legally
