Today was the first time I shot reloads in my 22-250 stainless bull barrel. As a matter of fact, it was the first time Ive reloaded. I loaded Hornady 55gr. v-max, H380, Remington new brass, CCI mag. primers. Loaded 10 rounds with 37.5 grains of H380 & 10 rounds with 38.0 grains of H380. I shot these, 37.5 first & groups were tighter than the factory winchester 45 gr. hollow points that I started with. Then I shot the 38 gr. loads & they tightened up even better, about 1" group at 100 yds. Guess I need to tweak the load in around there somewhere.
I guess the H380 must really be the right powder for a 22-250. I do have some winchester 760, might try some & see how they group too. I wasnot happy with the factory winchesters at all, was around 3" groups at 100 yrds.
