Here's a premature update.  Last spring I put a deposit down for a breeding that took place this spring.  I wanted to make sure that I would get a pup from this cross, and that I was first in line for male pick of the litter.  The bitch is due to whelp on May 17.  I'll get the pup over Fourth of July weekend.
I just love those Labs.  This will be my fourth.  I'm already feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve.
I am eternally grateful for the Grace of GOD that allowed me to be born an American.  A free man in a free country!!!

Hey Guys:

Sorry I've been gone so long, busy season for me. The pups doing great, loves the water, retrieves with enthusiasm, got him nosing for hidden pheasent scented dummies. he really likes the work.

he goes about 30-35 lbs already, feet so big he should be able to walk on the water.Still pulls pup stunts, got him to stop tearing up the screen door, ate some of mamas flowers yesterday, ate the pull cord off one of my kyaks. Nothing to serious, he's getting better. All in all I'm real pleased with the dog,hes a lot of fun and a clown, falls on his face on a regular basis, all feet and legs. Can't wait to put him on some live birds, looking for some pidgeonsto work him with. Let us know when you get your wirehair.
