Colt 1911 Manufactured In 1943, Value?

A friend of a friend wants to sell his 1911 Colt that was manufactured in 1943. This hand gun is in very good condition. Can some one give me an idea of what it's worth?

Hi,  it is a 1911A1 U.S. ARMY, is it bright blue or parkarized, serial number? then I can get a better idea. Bob
