metal cases

I know, this should be in a gear or a classified forum, but it is Alaska only, specifically anchorage only. (cause I'm not really gonna find what I need in Seward)

I'm looking for a big metal chest/cabinet, something like a gun case, but maybe not so beefy(or expensive).  it has to be lockable.  This will be for random gear, and ammunition too, components, so shelves would be nice. 

And also another gun safe.

Any of you guys in the anchorage area know anyone trying to get rid of something like that, or any good places to look, thanks for the help.

Corb,  you might try the State Surplus property place.  I forget where it is but you should be able to find it on line or in an Anch phone book.  Maybe old school lockers or similar might work? Seems like I've seen 1 to 4 door metal lockers that were about 6 foot high and 18-20 inches deep. Just a thought.

I'm thinking the place used to be on Viking Drive or something like that (Vanguard Drive?) and it also had Fed surplus stuff.  I think it was open to the public certain hours.

I got a real nice one from Sam's club, looks good sitting in the corner of the laundry room.  Is not real heavy metal, and a determined thief with a little time could open it.  But the smash and grab guys would not mess with it.  I also drilled four holes in the back 16" apart and drove four long lag screws into the studs in the wall.  That way it can't be carried off either.

It's six feet tall, 36 inches wide, and 18 inches deep.  Four or five shelves on the left side, the right side is open from top to bottom.  And it has a key lock, not a padlock.

Yeah, really I'm not lookin to keep theifs out too much, (though that is part of it) mostly just to make sure kids/stupid friends dont mess with ammo, cleaning solutions, etc.

I'm not looking for anything fireproof, but I also don't want anything that burns itself, cause it will be used for storing powder.
