rail mount for T/C scope
« on: May 24, 2003, 08:57:49 AM »
Thought I got a good deal on a 2.5 T/C scope (#9507) until I tried to find a rail mount for my 7-30 barrel.
Can't seem to locate one. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?
I have a number I'm not sure is correct, it's 9741, is that right?

You did, I like those scopes.  I believe those rail mount bases are still a production item or were last year, but for the better price try Ed's Contenders.

I think I got my last couple of them from Ed's and they were about half what Fox Ridge wanted for them.  I am just going by memory now, but I think I paid about $11 each for them.

The part number on the base is #9741 for Contender barrels and the part number on the scope is #8320, #8203 for the lighted rectiule model.

Thanks, Tom-
When I tried the link, it wouldn't take me there. Do you have his Internet address?

Why wait till Tuesday?

Why wait till Tuesday,  send him an e-mail to Ed Kirkpatrick at: edcon@theshop.net and see if he will answer any sooner.  Just specify the item and part number.

You might also send an e-mail to Garry Hiller at Contender Cache in Alaska at:  hiller@contendercache.com and see if he has some.  Another place is Ron Sable at RJ's Guns in Penn. at:  ronstcs@aol.com.

Good Luck with your inquiry.

Thanks everybody. I am pretty sure I have a firm line on one. Or several for that matter! If it turns out the one I'm getting is not what I need, I will have several more ways to go.
I also got a response from Ed today. He stocks the base I need.
This site is the greatest!!!
