The only place I've seen any load info for 35 gr. V-max in the .223 is in "reduced load" info.
http://www.gmdr.com/lever/addata.htm
The Hornady reloading manual doesn't have anything below 40 gr. for the .223

I believe that bullet is intended to be used in the Hornet, and might come apart in flight from the rotational force of a fast twist .223.
You might want to contact Hornady about this.

The 35gr Vmax shoots very well at 2900-3000fps in the 1:12" NEF Handirifle Hornet. If you want a lighter bullet, ya might try James Calhoon's 30gr bullet. I've got some ordered, haven't tried em yet, they're supposed to be good for 3500fps in the Hornet, yet perform at long range lower velocities.

I used H335 and started at the low load for hornady 40 gr. bullets started with 24.3 grs. then worked up to 25.1 with no pressure signs. accuracy started at 11/2 inch and got a 5/8 inch group at 25.1. Hope this helps
