I was looking at a walther p22 with the 5" barrel and thought it looked and felt nice. ( the 2007 model I might add) What do you think about these little guns?

Go over to Rimfirecentral.com. There is a ton of info about these little guns there. I have the short barreled one and it a lot of fun. Not the most accurate pistol I've ever shot but it hasn't had one problem. I've tried nine different kinds of ammo and they all go bang.

I know there's been quite a few times I've read about these being rather finicky with ammo.

My D-I-L bought one for my Son for Christmas last Dec. and it shoots pretty good but he had trouble finding ammo that was loaded with enough pressure to cycle the action.  I haven't shot 22 rimfire for a long, long time and maybe the manufacturers don't load it the same as they did years ago but I don't recall this being a problem way back when.
