350 mag loads and experience's

Hey guys, anyone have a 350 mag and have a favorite load and bullet combination?i have a 358 win,encore barrel that is being rechambered to 350 Rem mag.

I've got one and have worked up a few different loads, but so far haven't shot a thing with it.  I'll try to remember to check my load book tonight and share what I've used.  Mine's a 700 Classic rifle, so there's apt to be some variation.  -WSJ

I'm partial to the Nosler 250gr Partition bullet.  I load Remington brass, with CCI 250 primers, and W748 powder.  The amount of powder is differant with each gun, and is something you need to work up yourself.  The Nosler manual starts at 54.0 grs with 58.0 as Maximum for that powder.

I have two 350s, a Remington 600, and a Ruger M-77.  They are devistating on Black Bears at close range, 15 to 30 yards.

I agree with sourdough. I used the 250 partition on a cow moose last season. 100 yards, 1 step, down. Excellent load

I have had good luck with 59 grains of IMR 4320 in Remington cases (that's about all that can be found), Win WLRM primers, and Swift 225 gr bullets in a Remington 673 guide gun.  The magazine in the 673 is short so finding bullets that are not too long is a problem.    That's why I went to the Swifts.  Speer Grand Slams look like they will work as well and are less expensive.  Accuracy is very good with 5 shot groups less than 1" from a rest.  Many 3 shot groups are clover leafs.

Took a very nice black bear in Idaho at about 60 yards with this set up last year.  Shot was a complete pass through and the bullet was found 3 - 4 inches in the ground.
