Full Size Ready to Fire

I'm a farmer with a Full Size 1841 Six Pounder in my front yard. Couldn't resist this picture today. What do you think would happen if..........

El Cazador, I've yet to fire a projectile, but I've got about 1.5 miles of downrange fields. The sheep aren't mine; there are some Basque sheep herding families that buy crop stubble and move their herds from ranch to ranch. They leave a herdsman in a trailer with some work dogs and a guard dog and graze our crop residue. They pay us 2 cents per head per day. Dean

Radio, I finished building it about two months ago, and I fire blanks (1/2 lb. Fg) about once a week. I've been getting choosy about under what conditions I fire it: about 30 minutes after sundown, and I wait for one of those dead calm evenings. The smoke hangs and you hear the echo of the retort bounce around the hills 3 or 4 times.

Rick, the downside of those critters is you have to watch where they were before they come to your fields. They can bring in lots of weed seeds with that 'fertilizer'!

My Pasture is filled with llamas. They don't deposit as much undigested seed.

How do you move the gun if it needs moving?

I am thinking that when mine is finished I will make a hitch that goes underneath and straps on somehow with nylon straps so I can hook it behind the Farmall.

We use this Hyster for moving and stacking 4 ton 'blocks' of hay. Comes in pretty handy for moving other stuff.
