Hi Guys _____ looking for good 130 gr.  tops 140gr. cast bullet and mould) ,for practice and (AND) hunting (deer),out of a 11inch. 30-30 barrel,trying to make it as economical as possible.THANKS BAYRUNNER

The Lee 113 fp is a great bullet for plinking and target.  I would buy j******d  
bullets before I would shoot at a deer with under 150 gr cast and prefer RCBS 180 fp in the 30's for game. Personal opinion is that they track straighter and penetration is better after impact. My 2cents. John

There really isn't much in the 130-140 gr 30 cal bullet mould list.  I have a Cramer  30 cal. 140 gr GCHP mould but I haven't tried that bullet on deer.
 I like the 150-180 GR GCFN cast bullets for hunting. Lee, Lyman and RCBS all have offerings in that weight range.  I shoot a 14" T/C 30-30.  I have used the Speer 130 GR HP with good success on deer out of the TC. At the T/C  velocity theypenetrate really nice as they open.  
  I can give you some cast bullets to try if you would like them as I am just across the river in Spfld.       Orygun

I long ago picked up a 130 grain PB mould intended for the .30 carbine. Think mine is a Lyman, but it just might be an Ohaus. I wouldn't try shooting a deer with it, but it has given reasonable accuracy in everything I have shot it in and that has been a pile of stuff.

Its best feature is that it is cheap. No gas check to run cost and processing time up. I try for about 1500 fps in whatever I'm shooting at the time and plink away.

I recently noted that RCBS is offering a 150 RNFN PB for cowboy action shooting. That would be the way I would go if I were buying a mould for the .30-30. If I could get 1800 fps out of it with decent accuracy (very iffy), I might even be willing to shoot a deer with that.
