The Belt Mountain pin is drop in.  Pull the factory pin.  Install the new pin and tighten down a very small screw with a allen wrench.  Heck I put mine in and I can barely change the oil in my truck.  You won't have any trouble.

If memory serves, there are 2 Belt Mountain cylinder pin and one is oversize.  You might want to double check the diameter...

I have put in a number of Belt Mtn. cylinder base pins in Ruger single action revolvers. The pins are slightly oversize compared to the Ruger pins. They usually slip in, sometimes with a little effort. Once in a while, the frame hole has some imperfections which permit the factory pin, but don't permit the Belt Mtn. pin. I have used the original pin to lap the frame holes on a couple of guns to open the frame hole just enough for the Belt Mtn. pin.

i'd place a call to belt mountain and ask them what they think about this.   i have put in two of them and both were very tight.   but.........they sure cure the problem with base pins popping out from recoil and they sure tighten up the cylinder 'slop' / rotation when you put one in that's a larger diameter than the Ruger pin.   406-388-1396 is shown as both their phone and fax number!   wonder how that works....

their website seems to indicate that their pins are all .2495" in diameter.    i don't think they make a his/hers or two diameters.   i removed the allen-style locking screw from the pin and replaced it with a standard screw and just tighten it up with a little bit of loc-tite on it.   it holds very well.

good luck,
