Thoughts on the 444

Any advantage in the 444 over the 45-70? I have a 45/70 and am looking at other bbl options. I have a pile of 444 I was given so I'm ahead of the game on ammo.
I'm just wondering if there's a big difference in the two.

One small advantage for the 444 is that if you have a couple of boxes of 44 cal bullets leftover from you muzzle loader you can try to use them in the 444. And if the happen to like the same bullet not having to stock a different bullet is always a plus.
