Superjay01,
I am soon to own a Huntsman but don't have one as of yet.  My understanding is that any black powder rifle can use any of the substitutes for Goex such as Triple7 and Pyrodex.  It's that way with every other muzzleloader I've ever seen in 23 years of shooting them.  I'm going to try the Triple 7 in mine.  Might even try some of that powder Jim Shockey markets under his name.  The advertisements on it claim to just swab the bore with a patch and some hot water.  I guess if Jim Shockey is willing to put his name on it, and by doing so his credibility, it should be pretty clean stuff.

Is Jim Shockey the ole' boy on TV with the low voice that flinches every time he pulls a trigger? I love watching his shows though.

I don't know if he flinches or not, I haven't paid that much attention to him. I think his show is called "Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventures."  He wears black a lot, has dark hair and I believe he is from Canada. Don't know if that helps or not but there it is.  He shoots nothing but black powder that I've ever seen.  Never a bow or a centerfire and he kills a lot of stuff. Big stuff, too.  I've seen him shoot Asiatic water buffalo and hippo with his front stuffer.

Shockey is the guy with the goofy looking western style hat that seems to be too small for his head.

Jay
I used 80 to 85 gr  of powder with the R.E.A.L bullets usually App 3 f.  In the 300 gr sabot usually 100 gr APP or T 7 about 90 grs all worked well.   You can use 100 gr of T 7 with 240 or 250 gr bullets.  I know the gun will handle larger loads but factory does not recommend them because of the shorter barrel
