Hey Oldog,
I've had and have several BDL'S but no ADL'S. The reason being is because I like to press the button and the floor plate in front of the trigger guard drops open to drop the cartridges in my hand when unloading. The ADL's do not have this feature. There is no cut out for one in the bottom of the stock on the ADL. I believe it is reffered to as having a blind magazine. Therefore, one has to run the bolt on every round in order to unload the rifle with the ADL.The trigger guard and the floor plate on the BDL is one piece construction while the ADL just has a trigger guard and of course,no floor plate. I have the Remington 700 SPS in the 22-250 and it is of the BDL variety, having the floor plate.Hope this helps you out pardner.

you can buy the floor plate conversion kit in cableas. so you get the floor plate and all you got to do it cut the hole for the cab leas. i have a adl and i like it better than the bdl because it is easier in my opion to unload and load
