Midwest Artillery Show photos
« on: June 25, 2007, 06:27:49 AM »
Below are two websites that have a series of photos taken at this past weekend's Midwest Artillery Show & Competition.  We had quite a number of guns and related pieces of artillery equipment on display.  We all had a good time.

I'm courious if the 8 inch mortar in the pictures is an origional or a reproduction? Other than Paulson Brothers or Fredericksons I've had little luck connecting with anyone else shooting a reproduction 8 or or 10 inch mortar. I know Hern sells an 8 but can't find anyone who shoots one.

Double D, were you referring to this one?

 It's probably a Williams gun.

Jeeper1,
Your right, it is a Williams gun. The best copy I have seen.

It is an original 8" tube which belongs to the Artilleryman.

I think the Williams gun is one of the most interesting cannons ever  made. I wish I had one.

There's a Williams gun up in the museum at New Market (Virginia - on I-81 North of Roanoke and Lexington).

From what I remember it's in great shape.
