Muzzleloader Barrell?
« on: June 10, 2007, 12:59:07 PM »
Guys I got my first Mossberg 20ga shotgun when I about 13, as a gift from my father.  I still shoot that shotgun and it has taken a bunch of dove, squirrells, rabbits, and one whitetail buck.  I also have a 500 camo turkey shotgun with the prted barrell.  So, I went to the Mossberg web site to check into getting a slug barrell, and saw a muzzleloader barrell for the model 500's.  Does anyone know much about these?  Anyone have one?  How does this work with a pump shotgun?   Any info would be appreciated.

Don't know where you will be able to get one, your local gun store can probably order one for you.  I've seen them before, just replace your shot barrel with a ML barrel.  Load it up, pump open the slide and put on the primer, close the action and pull the trigger.  Might try posting this in the ML section of the BB.

Mossberg sent me an e-mail reply and said it comes with the breech plug inside etc...  Sounds like a pretty neat way to extend deer season and use a firearm I already have and really like.   I can order directly from the web site and have it shipped it appears.
