Vais Muzzle Brake

Has anyone used the Vais Brake that has holes 360 degrees around and through the center? They are advertised to be quieter than other brakes due to the center holes? Are they? Does the all around hole pattern negate reducing muzzle rise compared to those with holes just on the top side?

Have shot several rifles with the Vais breaks. There was a noticable differance in recoil. As for being quieter, they seem to me to have a differant tone that didn't bite ya like other breaks.
