I reload the Lightfield Commander IDS slugs at 1600 fps and they are one of the most accurate rounds I shoot!

i use them in a savage bolt gun , wouldn't hesitate to shoot that far with mine ! in the county i live and a few i hunt you can carry a muzzle loader or shot gun , the muzzle loader was good for longer shots , now i carry the savage , 3 shots at the ready !

Used them in my 20ga USH with awesome accuracy (I think due to the slower fps) but terrible field results on whitetails. Won't use them again.

I did have one kill with a double lung shot; however, I had one for sure hit the shoulder and it must have just blown up before it could knock it down.  I know her shoulder was broken but she never dropped.  30 yards.  Never had that happen and won't have it happen again.  The other I can not be very sure about the exact shot placement but still only lost three deer in my days and two were last year with 20ga. lightfields.  First year with a 20ga and first year with lightfeilds so not sure which was the problem; however, when I saw that the lightfields shoot a lot slower (i think 400fps slower than the SST) it made me wonder.

Just got a new encore ML so will be sticking with that this year but might try the 20ga SST for one of my tags.
