ER Extended Relief scopes,?

Im looking for a 2X scope without the big bell on the front end for my new ML and I found a Leo 2x with the ER,can i use this on a rifle?Will the scope focus with my eye right up on it?I have no experience with these Er pistol scopes any help appreciated.
If it aint fair chase its FOUL,and illegal in my state!

The ER scope won't work for you. What I use for my ML and other close range hunting guns is the older Lyman All American or Redfield in 2X or 3X with a post. (They have no bell.) These scopes are great quality and can be found on E-Bay or at gun shows from time to time. Most of the time you can buy one for less than a $ 100. I have at least a dozen of these scope that I have found over the years. The post is great for low light conditions. Once you try one of these scopes you will be hooked like I am.

Take a look at the Leupold Ultralight. You can get it in 2.5X. It has 4.9" of eye relief.
