   Nearly 22 years since the takeover of the cruise ship Achille Lauro and the murder of an old man (Leon Klinghoffer)in a wheelchair..

  Just over 11 years since the Khobar Towers bombing..20 killed ..372 wounded.

  Nearly 19 years since Pan Am flight was blown out of the sky over Lockerbie, Scotland . A total of 270 men, women & children from many nations were murdered . No comment upon how many were "Zionists"...

  Approaching 7 years since 17 of our friends, relatives and neighbors were murdered aboard the USS Cole....37 wounded.

  Almost 24 years since 241  American Marines, serving as peace keepers for the UN in Beirut, were incinerated in their sleep.
  That same day a French peacekeepers headquarters were destroyed in the same way, killing 58..

  Almost 5 years since 202 young people from many nations were charred to embers in a Bali, Indonesia night club...another 209 wounded & burned..

  Coming upon the 6th year since 3,000 people were murdered in the WTC and the Pentagon..and the plane taken into a Pennsylvania farm field by courageous , young Americans..

      All these were acts by Mohammedidiots, bringing disgrace upon the name of their Allah !

  Do you need a couple hundred more examples to point out the trivial nature of your argument ?

  I really wonder about any American who can witness the cold blooded murder of so man thousands of our fellow Americans..and still make excuses for the evil forces we are facing !

   Interesting that you should note just one of the many attacks and then try to heap some kind of blame upon ourselves, instead of taking note of the hundreds of attacks by a crazed enemy.
 Note also RR didn't exactly "cut and run" . We were part of a multinational force and when the bombing occurred on Oct 13, 1983 our troops did not leave the scene  until Feb  7, 1984..along with other peacekeepers.
 
  Yes, there was a lapse in security, probably by local commanders; but Pres Reagan was man enough as Pres to say,  " the buck stops here !".
   A far cry from " I didn't have sex with that woman !"....LOL
 
   If you are trying to indicate that Pres Reagan lacked determination; remember.. it was only a few days later (Oct 25, 1983) that he launched the liberation of Grenada which was concluded in Dec 1983....Something Grenadians still speak appreciatively of.
 
   Remember..previously, under Pres Carter's watch ..seven countries slipped into the Communist net ! This liberation of Grenada was perhaps the first of the reversal of the process, culminating in the collapse of the iron curtain  (Thank You..Pres Reagan !!)

  No denial here that Iraeli planes bombed the Liberty !  Must have happened, too many accounts to deny.
   
  However, one incident of "friendly fire' over fledgling nation's continuing struggle in all directions..just to continue to exist..does not an enemy make !   

  We have had several of our own in the last few years, one incident when our planes bombed a Canadian force in the war zone, Are we enemies of Canada ?
 
   Just yesterday, in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan, several Afghan police were killed..I doubt we have declared war on the Kharzai govt !

   Then there was Pat Tillman..our Rangers have not declared war on the NFL...

   So let's be reasonable in our thought processes, In their 60 year re-existence, Israel has had one (1) friendly fire incident !

    How many non-friendly (read hostile) incidents have the Islamofacists hit us with ?

   How many thousand innocent Americans must be murdered before we ALL face the fact about who is our enemy...fanatic Muslims..or Israel ? 

  Altogether now,.... let's all use our "gray matter"...

  1) Israel..one apparently friendly fire incident !

  2) Muslim Madmen..hundreds of attacks, many of them boasted upon as "attacks against the great Satan" !

    Now, I'll give you a few minutes to think about it..but don't stall too long..

  Who is likely our worse enemy..Islam or Israel ..?...who... ?

  You must have my post confused with some other post..   NOWHERE did I blame our military for anything, on the contrary..I was military and I know many present military..I hope they kill many more of these evil terrorists and applaud them for it !

  Now, put your specs on..as I stated, the attack was on Oct 13, 1983..the troops didn't leave until Feb 7, 1984..about 4 full months.
  Of course, they left under the leadership of the C-in-C..troops don't just pack up and leave on their own...DUH..apparently the mission (according to the UN) was either complete or not doing any good.

  Now; for an example of cut-and-run...Let's look at the Mogadishu incident !
  
  On Oct 3 & 4, 1993 the then secy of Defense, Les Aspin decided to insert a small detatchment of troops in an effort to kill or capture warlord Mohammed Farah Aidid.
  This came about because Clinton elected to engage in "mission creep". Forces were to be there only to feed the people..but Clinton decided to "nation build"...so Les Aspin sent the Spec Ops troops in !
  The really stupid thing is that he sent Spec Ops troops who "own the night"..into the center of a hostile city..IN BROAD DAYLIGHT !

   Result; 18 Americans killed, 73 wounded  of course the Somalis fared worse 1000-1500 killed ..3000-4000 wounded ( a credit to the fighting men..regardless of their leadership).
 
    To compound the problem, the brilliant Aspen had no backup force of armor in rediness...should one of the Blackhawks go down !
 
  When one did go down, it took the multinational force many precious hours to scrape together a few armored vehicles to retrieve our men; that raised the death toll.
  
  The battle took place on Oct 3 & 4. in a special National Security meeting on Oct 6..Pres Clinton ordered the Chairman of the Joint chiefs of Staff, Admiral David Jeremiah to cease all operations against Adid..

  So..if you're looking for a good example.. There's "cut & run" for you..not by the troops certainly..but by the C-in-C.

TM7. In 1967 Israel was fighting for her life, surrounded, grossly outnumbered, and standing alone. We offered no help and were stupid enough to send a ship to spy on Israel. They didn't trust us and attacked, as we would have done to them in a similar situation. I wish it had never happened, but the decision to send a spy ship there was not real bright. I don't condone what they did, but understand their distrust. I don't know how you could possibly argue for these Godless, subhuman scum whose only purpose in life is to murder innocents and do satans work. I guess thats all president Bush's fault too???    When I read of the one alleged "treacherous" act by Israel..and then review the many, many treacherous acts..committed against us by and boasted about by..the Muslim terrorists..I do not have any difficulty in deciding which of them we should favor in any confrontation between these  two antagonists !
