I have a 12" order from MGM should be here in 4 to 6 weeks, should be great for deer out to around 150 yards. Richard..

Preacherman,

I hope this isn't hijacking your thread, but how do you rate your carbine bbl? Taken any deer with it? At what ranges? What loads did it end up liking?

I bought a carbine bbl for my daughter to deer hunt with this year, but I haven't found the time to even load develop yet. I've got some Barnes TSX's and some Sierra Gamekings to try.

Thanks.

I took a 9 point with it last year.
I used 110 Gr Hornady VMax With Hogdon 322 powder I'll have to look to see how much.
The damage was devastating Bullet hit front shoulder and exploded .Somewhat like a 243.
Deer dropped. It Shoots 1 inch or less at 100 yrds. If the barrel is clean.
Mild recoil.
Best deer round I've had since I squadered away my Mauser 243
