Where can I buy Black Powder in Wisconsin

Hey Shooters,

I had a nice handle on real Black Powder and then he moved away. It is either getting really hard to buy Black in Wisconsin or, I just don't look in the right places.  While my old brand is Goex, I'll try another brand if I can get it.  Anyone know of anything available in Southeastern Wisconsin? I have not found a single sporting goods store handle it. All of my favorite gun shops don't carry it. They tell me it is due to insurance regulations and rules on carrying explosives. Give me a hand on this.

I can't find it in my part of Georgia either...
Not a good situation when you have a Flint-lock..
The powder I have for my pan actually came out of "Pinwheel" fireworks
that are now legal in Georgia. Sounds crazy, but it works.

Retail outlets for BP have dried up over the years due to regulations and insurance requirements.

Your best bet is to order in bulk from one of the many BP distributors. You can keep 50 lbs at home. Check the GOEX site for dealers.

I found black powder at Monsors in La Crosse 20.00 LB

Better check state laws, Feds say you can store 50 pounds.

   New York state says you can store 5 pounds.

For anyone interested I received a message from a fellow member telling me to contact Bill's Sporting Goods in Lomira.  I did and he does carry Goex. He sells it for $16.90 a pound. While not being real cheap, it is available locally to me and I don't have to pay shipping charges.  Thanks for the info.

I just ordered 8 lbs of 3F Goex between the hazmat and internet orders 3.95 and 20.00 for haz: still around $15.00 a lb

I just bought 25 lbs of goex black powder mixed from cannon to ffff from powder inc.Total including shipping came to $11.86 a pound shipped UPS.

I buy mine from Powder Inc.  They will sell it in 5, 10 and 25 pound increments.  Just keep in mind, if you buy it 5 pounds at a time, it's going to be expensive.  The haz-mat fee is the same for a five pound package as it is for 25.  I order for our black powder club, so I order 50 pounds at a time.
