 Was wandering if anyone has heard of or had any problems with the cartridge stops breaking on 870s. Our department has four in all-most consecutive serial numbers, three of which have broken in the past two months.

I would have to say that's a very very rare event, and being from the same batch shows something went awry in manufacturing. 870s are the rocks of the shotgun pump world for a reason.

1 going bad in 15 years would be odd, 3 in the timespan of 2 months is really bizarre, atleast from my past experiences anyways.

I have two at the gunsmith right now being repaired. I asked him to save the parts so I could send them to Remington for inspection. I just worry about someone having one break in a critical situation.

Let us know what comes of the situation, if anything. Even the 870 haters(yes they are out there, oddly enough) have to admit their dependability is what legends are made of(ok that sounded corny, hahaha).
