the worlds biggest .22

took the .38-55 to the range again and tried a load a friend suggested. 10.0 grains unique with an oregon trail .380 diameter 240 gr fp. turns the gun into a big .22 LR. almost no recoil, low noise, and surprisingly accurate load. figure ill use this load for when i just want to go out and have a little fun. my friend also suggested 12.0 grains in a .45-70. maybe ill try that load a little later in the summer.

That is great fun. My first shots with the 38-55 were with 8 grains of Unique.
I have shot up 2 lbs of Unique with 12 and 13 grain loads of Unique in 45-70s.
Working through my 3rd pound now.
I don't have a Buffalo Classic 45-70 but I have been actively trolling for a used one.
