The first couple get into your blood and set the tone for the rest that follow. You will refine your skill set to your specific opportunities. Hogs are such a good source of hunting enjoyment, here they are 24/7/365, unfortunately they also do a considerable amount of damage to their environment, from the vantage point of man. They are an introduced species and not natural. If you don't have hogs in your area you don't want them. They tear the place up, stink to high heaven, and run off the more timid deer. They eat turkey and quail eggs, beneficial and venomous snakes alike, new born deer, food plot vegetation, etc. as omnivores are inclined to do. The also don't hear or see as well as deer (they do have keen hearing though), make a lot of noise when feeding through the woods, squeal at one another, fight among themselves, and help a hunter out more often than not.
If you can help someone out that has hogs, by all means kill them all. They are like mosquitoes. You may eradicate them in a small section of the greater environment but you will never kill enough to reverse their encroachment into a wider and wider distribution. They will return eventually. This does not mean that I am against hogs or hog hunting. Quite the contrary. When they are the only game in town, then play that game and play it well. You'll find me at the table eating pork just as often as venison.
