I have a  MKIII Hunter (KMKIII678H).  Darned nice, accurate pistol.  I've added a VQ hammer/sear/trigger.  I like the Hi-Viz sights.  Once you figure them out, they do a fine job.  It should be a nice squirrel gun.

The prices is about $100.  Got mine from Rimfire Sports & Custom.   You can get almost the same results with just the trigger and the sear.  I've done that on a MKIII 22/45 and MKII GC.  You can do these mods yourself.  Not really much of a problem.

See  http://www.guntalk-online.com/detailstrip.htm  for an excellent description on taking the things apart.

Get the VQ sear and call it a day--or have a handy 'smith do an action job for you. The factory sear only takes minutes to modify to be just as good as the VQ.

The hammer is pretty much a waste, and won't improve trigger pull much (or at all!). Though it does have a "speed hole" for reduced lock time.........

The trigger is a good buy for getting rid of pre and over travel--however, the factory trigger is already has an overtravel screw installed, and the aluminum trigger is incredibly easy to drill and tap for a pre-travel screw.

These are accurate pistols that shoot very well with minimal investments. Lots of info can be found online.

I'm not a fan of the hi-viz sight...not a great choice for target work and it is a bit large for my taste. I replaced mine with a 1/16" marbles bead sight.

You can adjust the existing trigger, but you have to pretty much disassemble the pistol to do it.  I didn't have enough faith in my mechanical ability to drill existing trigger.

But once you get it adjusted, you can simply "set it and forget it." Pretty simple.

A drill/tap for a set screw in the factory aluminum trigger is pretty simple. If you still have your original around, go buy a $4 drill and tap kit (4-40 or 6-32 works great) and give it a shot. Hard to screw up, and you'll be learning a new (and valuable) skill. ;)
