hello
I would like to know if anybody has had this problem with neck sizing only.
I loaded up 50 rounds two time now with just neck sizing and have found something disturbing .
When I reload my cases I use a brush before and after I put it through the neck sizer to make sure that there is no power left over from the load before.Well today it was time to full length size the case do to build up of brass that would not let me easily close my bolt. When I full size a case I do the same thing as I do for neck sizing with the brushes.
I brushed my first case and then put it through the full length die and brushed it again. To my suprise a bunch of burned up powder came out.
I had know idea why I had so much come out. I never had this much come out before. I took another case to test what was going on so I brushed it and then ran it through the neck sizer this time. Not much burn powder came out. So then I ran it through the full size die and then brushed it again. Guess what! Lots of burned up powder came out .
So my conclusion is that I don't get out all of the burned up powder when I neck size only
When I re size the hole case it must break the scale that is on the inside of the case.
If This scale on the inside of the case is not removed it would cause higher pressure and that is not a good thing.
Has anybody have this problem and what can you do about it
