Hello, I bought a cantelever barrel for my 12ga 1100,and did not like the flex or the height of the scope mount.Since this is a dedicated slug gun I went with a different system. I exchanged the cantelever for a full rifle, rifle sight barrel, then properly tourqued the barrel in the receiver. Then I drilled three holes through a 6in. low weaver rail, through the top of the receiver, and through the barrel extension, being careful to avoid the bolt lug recess. after opening the holes in the rail and receiver to a tight clearance fit, I tapped the holes in the bar. ext. for 10-32 machine srews. After countersinking the holes in the rail and assembling the gun with pan head allen screws the result is a super, rock solid scope to receiver,to barrel connection, that can be easily dissasembled.Plus I can pop off the scope and see over the rail to use the iron sights.
