Getting a Barrel Threaded .... Who / Where ?
« on: July 21, 2007, 10:24:14 AM »
I am toying with the idea of putting a Muzzle Brake on a .223 or .243 Barrel, But am at a loss on where to get one threaded, the only Machine shop thats local does not do "Fine" work, and I assume the threads would have to be Clocked properly. Any ideas ? Price guesses ? Thanks in advance, ~Ace~

This is the critter I'm looking at HERE

Any competent gunsmith could do it. My gunsmith charges $195 including the cost of the brake, if that gives you and idea. Lee Shaver charges $35 an hour for his work.
