Rate of twist
« on: July 15, 2007, 11:57:44 AM »
Hi everybody!
I'm from Hungary, Middle-Europe. I speak English just a little. I have a question for you: Do you know the rate of twist of the Uberti Remington 1858 New Model Army? 1-32" or 1-24" or how many?
Thanks a lot for the answers!!!

Cimarron lists two Uberti 44 caliber twists, 1-18 in and 1-56 in.

Dixie Gun Works lists it at 1-32 in blued, and 1-48 in Stainless.

Not sure who is correct.  Maybe I can measure mine.

They list the 36 as 1-32 in.

Thank you!!!
I think, in Hungary the Uberti replicas hawe 1-18". Somebody wrote, in a hungarian forum: My 1858 target carbine hawe 1-18", the older Uberti replicas hawe higher (1-66" ??? 1-72" ????), the new are the same, than the carbine.
