Any sugestions for reloads in an 8X57 Mauser for a M&S

I have an 1950's vintage Mannlicher Schoenauer and would love some reloads for this type of rifle.  It an 8X57 Mauser and everything is in like new shape.  I am mostly interested in what powders and bullets work best in such a short barreled rifle.

I use either the Hornaday 195 gn sp or the 200 gn Nosler Accubond over 46.3 gns of VihtaVuori Oy N160 powder for 2500+'/sec at 49k psi.  Both loads give me a one hole 5 shot group at 100m.  HTH.  Mikey.

I got the best results using the Hornady 195g psp, and found the Hornady 175g rn not far behind in accuracy. The 175g was the best deer hunting round that I used. As far as powders, IMR4064 and Winchester 748 gave the best accuracy and velocity from my 23" barrel.

Sectional dens. of the 200 grn. Partition is that of the .30 cal. 180 grn. Partition. I reload with that bullet and RL15 and am an avg. of 2614 fps in my VZ24. Brass takes this load just fine, no excessive case head expansion nor loose primer pockets. Using Remington brass and Fed 210's

 By The Way ---- Some one would have to prove too Me that the New 338 Fed, (and I Love it), is any better than the 100+ - yr. old 8x57!!!!
