I don't hear very good things about the scope package. The mounts and rings are poor quality and people have had to change them. I have a 10MLII and love it. It is deadly accurate ( 1 1/8 " at 100 yds) with 43 grains of 4759 and a 250 grain saboted Hornady HTP bullet. I will be doing all my deer hunting with this rifle this year instead of my shotgun . I recommend it.

1st off, I do not own a Savage Muzzle loader....From my experience, the scopes in package deals are not top of the line stuff. They are usually Simmons or Bushnell scopes and they are not their best scopes. They are at bottom of the heap or near the bottom. Some guys will be happy with them, many will not. Most state laws spell out "muzzle loading" as a requirement, not the use of black powder. If black powder was a requirement, then Triple 7 and Pyrodex would not be legal. Where do you draw the line? You will have to check your local laws to be sure. Some purists only think you should use a frizzen pan, no caps, in-lines, shotgun primers, etc. There could be a whole book written about the merits of what is ethical what is not and what was intended when laws were written. Check your local laws, it will spell out the requirements for your "muzzle loader". ;D

I'll check them again. I think it might.  Yeah I don't really like the scope but its good enough for a 10 day season.
