Big E gun show in Mass.

I picked up a Egyptian Rasheed its the baby to the Hakim/Ljungman still a swedish design that shoots the 7.62x39 round and similiar to an sks but has the adjustable gas valve. I haven't shot her yet but its suppose to be a sweet shooter too like the hakim and ljungman too.  There are still some great buys out there right now with more stuff popping up lately at gun shows more and more we just have to go slow and look which is hard to do in crowds of people/lookers too.  I missed a century garand for $400 I passed it and planned to go back but it was gone. I heard good things and bad things about century's garands.  The Big "E" May31/June1 show was better than lastyears show a larger variety of guns and accessories too more than lastyears show at this time but less than a fall gun show of course.  There is nothing like a fall or winter gun show for the amount of guns they sure do have more. There were two swede's there a husky m38 $275 and a CG M96 for $235 not bad prices for swede's.   I see that NY. and NH. have shows all year long even down in the city too.  Ever been to a gun show in NY city??  I was just wondering what it was like?                                                 BigBill

You know, I had planned to go to that show from a couple of months ago and I forgot all about it till I just saw your post.   I went to the BigE Sportman show 2 years ago and I couldnt believe how big that place was.  Thanks for the info, I'll have to try and remember next year.

I was hoping to pick up some M1Carbine mags, but I found a website that has GI Surplus mags new for $6 each, so I wasnt too upset.

I used to shoot an informal DCM type military matches with a Sewdw, and one of the guys there shot an Egyptian Rasheed in 7.62X39 and he absolutley loved it.  He used to score pretty good too, and we shot at 200 yards.   Good luck with your new toy.
