Planning a hunt
« on: June 09, 2003, 02:12:23 AM »
I am in the process of building a GRP 54 FL and want to take it to my Dad's property in Tn this fall. I will need to fly since I live in PA and I don't know how to get the black powder to Tn, do I need to buy it there?

If so does anyone know where to buy GOEX near Memphis?

Thanks!, TIMEOFF

I'd defenatley not  bring powder with on a plane! Your vacation might be a bit longer than you planned if you do.
And shipping can be done, but there is a 20$ Hazemat fee, above the cost of postage.

Just off the top of my head I'd try the yellow pages. Many web home page sites offer yellow page service. Just  enter Memphis, then sporting goods,or shooting sports.
Ya might get lucky and find a toll free#. If there are any relatives in the area,it might be a good Idea to have someone get a pound early, there is usually a mad dash for powder just before hunting season.

just a few ideas,tacks.

Thanks for all the great info. I am definitely becoming addicted and cannot wait to get this one built and take her for a walk!
