     Were these hogs or javelina?

I know hunters that use a catchdog want no part of javelina because they pack-up on the dogs rather than scatter like regular hogs.

Were they a bunch of 30 pounders?

     Who looked worse afterwards?

Where did this take place at??? As it sounds more like RATS with TEETH aka JAVIES LOL to me. I have been hunting hogs all my life and with dogs for awhile now and have NEVER heard of hogs doing that. Javies yes but not hogs.

it took place here in FL. most likely they were hogs( i think after we started shooting most ran off)  all i do know is my left hand has a 3 inch cut on the back of it, something opened up my leg and i had to get 25 sticks to close it up and i have been in pain all week. All 6 of us there were there got some( one guy all most lose a finger). I hate hogs.

I have had a SINGLE hog come after me after I shot it and it was wounded, but I have never had a PACK of them come after me.  That would make for one heck of a video.

no it would not!!! my leg been on fire and i have been in pain all day the other day.  they just came at us as soon as we were out of the water. if it was not for most of use had side arms(i had my 380 with TMJ and FMJ rounds and wild bill had a grizzly 44mag) it would have been worse.  I know i hit one with my 12ga with buck shot and then i fire the hole mag from my 380 at 2feet into one.

jamal- what did I tell you about the mushrooms. Don't go swimming after eating them and don't believe everything you see after consuming them. By the way, I shot a 90# rat the other day with my 177 springer. Wait a minute, was that before or after I took a little break to just chill. It must have been after, because I was really hungry.

I don't know if it was a deliberate attack, but I got caught between a bunch of them and where they wanted to get to,,bowhunting!!  I think someone or something (dog) spooked em real bad!  It looked like a deliberate attack and as they were running straight at us, I jumped behind a large tree, but my brother (He is the slow one in the family) pounded about a 150 pound sow between the eyes as it was coming toward him at about 15 yards!! Went down like it was pole axed!! The rest of the bunch went through us like their azz was on fire, and I guarantee whatever was in their way was going to get real hurt!! Attack,,I don't think so, but give up their path wasn't going to happen either. I do carry a 44mag bowhunting hogs now.  My brother was just lucky he had that arrow knocked and ready cause that huge sow was not going to give an inch!  That's my story and I'm stickin to it! The place we hunt has a mix of Russians mixed in with them and maybe they are passing some of those nasty temperament genes along to the ferals!

Are you sure it wasn't that old lion that attacked you?

I LOVE THIS SITE!
i have hunted hogs and Javalinas killed one feral boar that weighed 500lb. + the big feral was
real exciting, as i only had a 16ga. single shot shot gun and a 1958 chevy pickup.
the javalinas i hunted with a44mag ruger, i really think they should be hunted with a baseball
bat, for their to be  any sport.
i was on a great rat hunt one time, i lived in the country had a rat terrier dog that love to hunt rats, we hunted them all one Sunday, missed church, preacher told me to mend my ways or else, that was when i started hunting Gorillas on the Red river between TX and
Okla. caught them and sold them to zoos all over the world, that is why you will not to to
this day find a gorilla on Red river, sorry to say i trapped them into extinction in that region.
