This question is kinda like worrying about the cost of fuel and shopping for a Ferrari.
Buffalo hunting has become so over rated and expensive that I cannot believe it's such a passion with so many people. I would say 8 of ten hunts end like shooting a bison in the USA. One or two shots at 50 yards it runs off falls and dies. It's all over and is a huge let down for what most people thought it was going to be like. Several hunts will require tracking or some follow up for those that were hit and ran off. Maybe one in 100 show some threatening nature and or offer aggressive behavior.
It's simply not the level of frequent danger that most internet chat makes it out to be. Think about the number of fellas that are hunting buffalo. How many come home wounded, hurt, charged etc. I cannot tell you how many with me have had buffalo run towards us when spooked and assume a charge, yet it was swirling wind that caused them to run and we were simply in the way. Buffalo have the skills and brains to cause great bodily harm. It's happened lots of times. I fear wounded bushbuck, gemsbok, and nyala, far more then Buffalo. Probably because they have charged me so many more times then buffalo have.
Hunting plains game gives you an adventure every single day, hunting buffalo gets a single shot or two in ten days. That is a great level of hunting foreplay for those who dream of it. As for costs, There will be plenty of people who list trophy fee only, but to get a big picture of the whole package you better figure 10-14K for the buffalo. Some trophy fees are as little as 2000 bucks, but they have 1200 per day daily fee. Some all inclusive hunts are 12K some require additional chartered flights. It's your money but for my hunters shooting 8 trophy animals for the cost of a single buffalo is a far greater value.
Leopard is a hella lotta money for a very limited chance. Lots of guys shoot a nice leopard, but many hunt hard the whole time and get nothing. If you're willing to shoot at night over bait with a light you have a much better chance. Many people will not do that. These hunts are 14 days and usually run 10-14K. A male lion will be pushing 30K alone and these hunts are also 10-14 days alone. The best chance is also over bait. Better do this quick, lion hunting for this "cheap" is going to be over soon. Females are less, at 6-10K they also will be ending soon at this "affordable" level.
For the game you want you would need 75 to 100K including all travel costs and trophy shipping.
