Just curious what a virtually-new one runs now-a-days.

Ballpark is good enough.

Joe -

THANKS.  I now FEEL a little better about having spent $350.  (I'd just sold an M1 Garand with a sewer pipe for a barrel for $450 and ran into the 39A - I'd trade the one for the other any day.)    $350 for a .22 is a lot of bucks.

The first one I purchased several years ago new went for $76.00, but I had to sell it after two years because I needed the money.  :'(

I loved that rifle so much I bought another new one about a 1, 1 1/2 years later and it cost me $125.00.

I still have that one and it is a fine shooter as was the first one. It's really hard to believe that they sell for almost $500.00 nowdays.

It is in excellent shape with minimal wear on stock from hunting and very slight pitting on one one side of receiver where I must have missed wiping off the moisture after a hunt I suppose, it never has gotten any worse.
