Is there any difference in the way a Omega shoots compared to a Encore muzzeloader, are the barrels the same other than the length. Thanks! Mike

With the Encore you will have the ability to use centerfire barrels.  I am not familiar with the Omega, so others will be better able to help you with the comparison.

Good luck to you and enjoy whatever you decide to get

I have a Encore now and was wondering if the Omega shoots as good or if the switching of the barrels is the only real advantage of the Encore? Thanks!

Having never shot an Omega I can't help with that.  I find the ability to change over to different barrels for different calibers a great advantage.  I have Contenders, and when I go varmint hunting I take five barrels and two frames.  I can carry what I need for any situation I am likely to come up with, and they all work the same way in a gun I am accustomed to.

Good shooting!

I had both. They both shot the same, {excellent}. I stayed with the Encore and got the Katahdin 20" carbine. It is very light and easy to poke through the brush and is just as accurate as my 26" .50cal and the 28" Omega .50cal.
