Any one eles find ?
« on: May 30, 2003, 12:56:16 PM »
Anyone eles find a petrifed whale vertebrate bone, on there trap line yesterday ? I did !
Yep, On a preadotor control job for the Feds.I work on a island on the coast. While walking on the ocean front.I saw something that looked out of the ordany. And you guessed it. The petrifed whale bone. It's 9" tall 10" diamter and now weights 12# but I know when it drys out it wont weigh that much.Years ago I found a Ivory tusk out there. But never had it carbon dated. The tusk could be off of a wooley Moumth. On the Discovery Channal one time, they had something about  wooley Moumths and said that off shore, right where I am at that there is a burial grounds. WHO knows maybe tomorrow I will find the bottle with the Genie in it.Any requests?

Once when I was staying with some friends in Morgan City LA, I went to Cocadrie and went fishing in amongst the islands. I hooked something huge and wondered what in the heck it could be. Then just as I was wondering this, three dolphins appeared doing the hump the surface thing.
I though " oh sh8t! now what am I going to do?"
This was because if I cut the line, I would be done for the day because I had so much line out, well I figured that since I am done anyway, I might as well try to see if I can land it. Turns out that I didn't have the dolphins, I had a stingray the size of a trash can lid. But I saw real dolphins in the wild on a wonderfull day that I will remember forever.
