« on: August 08, 2007, 07:50:57 AM »
I have a pardner 12 gauge shotgun thats not seeing much use, are rifle barrels able to be fitted to these receivers? i would love to have a short 30-30 carbine like i saw a fellow on here had with and 18 inch barrel it would make a dandy little truck gun. Again yall will have to pardon my lack of knowledge and thanks for the help.
Good Huntin God Bless

No, shotguns use an SB1 frame which isn't heat treated, please see the FAQs on the topic.

Since you can't have a rifle barrel installed, just cut down the shotgun barrel.  I cut down a 20 ga for my son, and it is one of the easiest guns to carry around.  I lost the choke by cutting it down, but it increases the odds of my 7 year old hittng water bottles with it.  I've got a cut down 45-70 that I keep in the 4wd, but a 12 ga would serve the same purpose.
