ruger m77 hawkeye rear sight

I really like the solid standing rear blade of the m77 hawkeye (alasken/african version); curious if that rear blade would fit an older m77 tang safety model; I think they use the same rear base, and if so, how do you remove the rear sight (folding version) to install the new blade. Thank You

It will fit but Ruger will not sell you one, at least they would sell me one. They wanted me to send my "Hawkeye" to them to have it installed; what a joke. I want to put one on my 35 Whelen so I bought one from NECG and will see if I can fit it.  To remove the rear sight just loosen the screw in front of the sight and slide it out.
