MMC Adjustable sights
« on: May 21, 2003, 11:41:41 AM »
I'm using an older P226 that I bought probably sometime in the 80's, more than I have in a while.  Traditionally I use revolvers more than auto's... but once this pistol was again seeing use, its getting a few minor changes.  One I want to try is some adjustable sights.

Anyone try and have an opinion on MMC adjustable night sights?

Any other adjustable sights I should look at?  I checked the Novak site and they don't seem to have gone beyond the 1911 market yet.

Thanks.

labsrule:  You can look thru brownells cat. and find several adj. sights for the sig. (millett/ashley/pachmayr/etc etc ) I would try some of those myself first. :D    JIM

jhm, Thanks again... just ordered a new copy of Brownels catalog.  I'll check out your other suggestions.

I had MMC install a set of Tritiums on my Springfield 1911 in 1999 and love 'em.  Great worksmanship (they dovetailed the front sight) and they work just fine.

I installed a pair on my HK USP 3 or 4 ys ago and been quite happy with them.  The microscopic set screws did loosen up once but I hadn't used loctite on them either.

I just put a HiViz fiberoptic front sight on my HiPower. It is very bright if you can see a target. If its too dark for that, maybe you need laser grips.
