Red Dot on a Muzzleloader?

I live in Nebraska where you can only use a 1X scope.  Will any of the Red Dots hold up to a 50 Cal Muzzleloader?

I know my Ultra dots hold up to my 460 and 500 Mag handguns and the recoil is a lot more than a muzzleloader.

An Ultra-dot Match dot has a adjustable dot size as well as a light brightness adjustment.

I have had a Tasco ProPoint on my Knight Bighorn for 8 years and several hundred rounds.  It has held up great!  It even holds zero from year to year with little to no adjustment.  I've never even changed the battery.  The red dot does cover a lot of the animal out at 100 yds, but nothing I can't live with.

I don't have one on a muzzle loader but I have a cheap BSA Red Dot on my Mossberg 835 and it holds up to the 3 1/5" Mag shells. I have had it on the gun for three years, with no problems. I don't think a muzzle loader would be any harder on one.

  My pick for a red dot on a rifle is a Bushnell Trophy red dot.  They have four settings, two dot sizes a crosshair and a dot within a circle. Before I bought this sight, I researched a lot of manufacturers and found that this Trophy red dot is one that more people are satisfied with than any other.

i've tried red dot scopes on my crossbow, rifled barrel shotguns and on muzzleloaders.   All the ones that i have tried are too bright in evening low light conditions, even on the lowest setting.

I had the Cheapy BSA Red Dot on my NEF Huntsman until they allowed scopes in Ga.
For woods hunting I loved it...Get one with as many brightness setting as you can...I think one of the BSA's had a 9 or 11 click brightness settings.
