5.5 in 357 Bisley
« on: September 09, 2007, 04:13:10 AM »
Are all factory 5.5 in barrel stainless Bisleys the accusport model?  I just got one and the dealer said it was a special run for a distirutor but was ot clear if from Accusport.  I paid $459 and feel it was a good price.  One plroblem the loading gate sometimes sticks.  Before I send it to Ruger does anyone have a suggestion?

Yes all the stainless 5 1/2" Bisleys are Acusport models.  rather than send it off, work it a bit.  Could simply be a spot that didn't get fitted quite as well as it could've been or even a stiff spring.  if you must send it in go ahead but I'd actually try asking about this over on Ruger Forum www.rugerforum.com

Oh, congrats on the revlver.  I've become a bit enamored with these Acusports.  Got 7 now.  Sure you'll enjoy it.

It worked.  I kept working the action and gate and it seems to have worked itself out.   Thanks.  I think I am getting the 45 also.  The dealer had three and all had the conversion cylinder.  They are a beautiful gun.  I think the laminated grips and the stainless go together quite well.
