Never been to SD to shoot pds....everybody I know says its the greatest. Is there a lot of competition among shooters. Always seems there are a ton of people going there at basically the same time. Is it a big enough area (I cannot concieve of the acreage/people ratio)to support that many shooters ?

My truck is packed, I got several hundred rds. of ammo and i have about 4000 acres, private land to shoot on combined for the next three days. No one else has shot it much all summer...now that my friend is some good news.

This year was a great year for prairie dogs. Problem is that can change drastically from year to year. Last year a plague nearly devastated the dog population in the lower half of the state. From what the people in the upper part told me it wasn't much better up there. Weather plays a huge role in the population of prairie dogs.   KN
