I'v got a good load for my handi in 180g  and am now looking for a lighter bullet for longer range shhoting and varmits.  Can anyone recommend aggod load?  I have some IMR 4064 on hand and was thinking of using that.  Any recomendations would be appreciated.

I used the plain old 125gr Sierra for a few years on varmints, worked good.I used IMR 4064,and believe it or not IMR 4320 was best for accuracy in that rifle with WW748 a close 2nd.

Do yourself a favor and don't go under 125g. I have tried the 110's in a bolt action .30-30 and even going 2800 fps, they just don't hold up past 250 yards. The 125's on the other hand do very well.

I've had 110 gr short jackets blow up at high velocity from a bolt action '06!

Years ago I had a friend that groundhog hunted with an 06. We tried alot of bullets and the litest bullet we found that shot well at over 100 yrds. was the 130 gn. Speer HP. Some bullets would shoot good to 75 or 100 yrds. but farther than that would open up very fast and most were not accurate enough to kill groundhogs reliable at 150 yrds. The 130 Speers would group farther than you could guess the hold over, in those days we didn`t have range finders.
